暹粒市——我什麼也沒做

2007年我和高中最好的朋友Slo做了一次短期旅行,重拾青春。那時候她住在新加坡,去新加坡前在紐約做操盤手。她是那種傳說中上課睡覺考試還能考得很好的女生。我們很少聊天也不常通信,但我們會時不時在地球某個角落會面,聊起天來好像從來沒分開過一樣。

我們在暹粒市吳哥窟的寺廟中玩兒了幾天。大部分的下午時光我們是在精品酒店的無邊際游泳池裏度過的。我努力構思那些沒有完成的論文章節,那年我就要完成法律碩士學位,考試近在眼前。

我看到的一件事在那短短一周中令我癡迷——Slo在做大量的閱讀和寫作。我也曾經縱情於做這兩件事情。我寫詩也讀詩、散文、小說、紀實類和短篇故事,每天寫日記。使用學到的新詞匯並用有創意的方式來表達自己讓我成長很快。但是我最後一次寫作估計也是高中時候的事了。

我忘了我的辭彙。除了任務提醒之外我沒有提筆寫過任何東西。除了和金融有關的報紙或是我考試用的教科書之外我沒讀過別的。但Slo在同時讀福爾摩斯和埃克哈特並且每天都在寫旅行日誌。

那是宇宙中第一個警告我沒有養護自己創造力和激情的信號。職業生涯的成就以我自己的身心健康做了高昂的代價。

我聽到了警告。但,我什麼也沒做。
