let it not be in vain

I do not know how she was feeling before the fatal act.

I do not know what was going on in her life.

I do not know the reasons for such despair.

I do know that anyone can have such thoughts and take their own lives, whatever background, race, age, gender, culture…

I do know that suicidal thoughts can frighteningly real – I have been there before.

I do know there are 800,000 suicides in the world every year. (World Health Organization)

I do know that many suffer in silence, unable to articulate the pain, not even knowing they are in pain.

I do know we need to talk about these difficult topics more so we can save lives.

do know we can help make a difference.

Let it not be in vain.
